About Me
Hi! My name is Izzy Flores, and I am an aspiring lighting, production, and themed entertainment designer. For the past seven years, lighting has been my art and my passion, but I have always made the time to explore other avenues of art and interest.

Lighting the Way
I began my lighting career in my freshman year of high school. I was an electrician and spotlight operator for my high school's production of Avenue Q, and though I wouldn't design my first show for a year and a half, I knew that lighting was a passion to pursue forever. Since then, I have served numerous times as an electrician, programmer, assistant/associate lighting designer, and a lighting designer.
Picking up the Pencil
When I was younger, I wanted so desperately to be good at visual art. I never quite mastered the technical skills, and for years, dreams of drawing and painting took a back seat. Today, I make silly little doodles for me and my loved ones, and it makes me so incredibly happy to be drawing to spread joy.

Behind the Lens
Photography is an art form that I picked up in middle school, and it has been with me ever since. I remember going on a field trip to California with my photography class and immediately developing an affinity for taking the the portraits of interesting individuals I encountered on the street. I practiced street photography for almost five years before turning my gaze inwards and becoming the subject of my work. Today, I tell my own stories and explore my own feelings through series of self portraits.
